The OPEN MY EYES Scripture Writing plan has been such a wonderful way for me to study God’s Word. I am receiving testimonials each week from women and families using the plans to dig deeper into The Word.
Scripture Writing is the simple study of hand copying Scripture word for word into a notebook or journal. When I simply read the Scriptures, my mind wanders. I begin thinking about my daily chores or a myriad of other things.
With Scripture writing, I am so focused on each word I am writing. I am focused on keeping my journal neat and artistic as I journal God's Word. It gives me ten to fifteen minutes of uninterrupted Bible Study where The Lord can speak to my heart.
I love centering our writing on a theme. Last month, our theme was Strength and Courage.
This month, our theme is on The Promises of God.
By definition, a promise is the assurance to someone that one will definitely do, give, or arrange something; undertake or declare that something will happen.
The Scriptures are so full of God's promises. Promises for protection, heath, safety, peace, freedom, and so much more. Sometimes, when reading The Word, we tend to skip over these promises, but when you stop and really focus, you see God's Promises as bright as day.
When you are feeling down, The Word promises beauty for ashes. When you are feeling sad, The Word promises joy in the morning. When you are full of fear, The Word promises peace.
As we write the Scriptures this month, I pray that your days are filled with God's promises. When the world tries to get you down, pray the promises of God over your life, your children, your work, and your families.
So grab your favorite journaling Bible (mine are listed below), your journal, a zillion beautiful pencils, markers & pens and join us this month as we write out THE PROMISES OF GOD!
