The ULTIMATE Bible Study Journal.

I spent more time in the Word of God during 2020 than I have in any other year of life. I had a hunger and thirst for God’s Word like never before during the year that will go down in history as one of the most tumultuous. That hunger and thirst for God’s Word are still very much alive, and I am excited to see what treasures He will continue to show.

I took notes upon notes as I read God’s Word and studied the passages during the Attributes of God study. I had a notebook for prayers, a journal for Inscribing the Word, a notebook for sermon notes, a notebook for book and commentary notes, a journal for podcast notes, and online sermon notes. I was drowning in notebooks and journals!

And there lies the problem . . . even for a self-proclaimed stationery addict!

The material was terrific.
The process was not.

And so I developed Heart Notes and the Ultimate Bible Study Journal.

The Ultimate Bible Study Journal at A Symphony of Praise by Heart Notes. This printable journal contains four different Bible Study methods including The W.O.R.D. method, Inductive Bible Study, Verse Mapping, The S.O.A.P. Method, and a place for all…

What Are “Heart Notes”?

Heart Notes is a streamlined Bible Study system that brings all your journals into one binder. From Bible Study Notes to your prayer journal, from your gratitude journal to your Inscribe the Word Journal, all can be kept in one place in one system.

Heart Notes can also be kept in digital format. I am using this system on my iPad using the GoodNotes app. (Heart Notes will also work with Notability or any PDF markup app on your iPad or digital tablet).

Having everything in one place is important to me as I study God’s Word. I want to be able to look back and reflect on everything happening in the year. I want to see the prayers answered and ones yet to come to pass, the joy and gratitude of the seasons, the Scriptures, and Inscribe the Word passages the Lord ministered through, and the Bible Studies and notes I took all in one streamlined system.

Today, I want to share with you the
ULTIMATE BIBLE STUDY JOURNAL.

THE BIBLE Study Journal.

The Bible Study Journal gives you FOUR Different Bible study methods, pages for notes and thoughts, and instructions on how to study using each method.

I’ve included:

  • THE W.O.R.D. Method. I created the W.O.R.D. Bible Study Method many years ago. I began to hunger for more than just the daily Inscribe the Word passages and this method gave me a clear and concise way to dig deeper. The W.O.R.D. Method sheets in your Bible Study Journal are updated, beautiful, and will bring you a great Bible Study Method to use alongside Inscribe the Word or any passage you want to study.

  • Inductive Bible Study Method. The Inductive Bible Study Method is excellent for students of Scripture who desire to know the rich details of Scripture. This method will bring out God’s character in a passage, how to use connecting words, actions and commands to follow, and how to make application to our daily lives. This is one of my favorite ways to study Scripture!

  • Verse Mapping. Verse mapping is a beautiful and creative way to study one verse of Scripture. Starting with a verse, you map out that verse using different translations, observing context, and making connections to other portions of Scripture.

  • The S.O.A.P. Method. I included the popular S.O.A.P. Bible Study Method in this journal. This method encourages you to read or write a passage of Scripture, make Observations, Apply it to your life, and Pray and declare the Scriptures.

  • Bible Study Notes. I have also included generic pages with no particular plan where you can jot down your thoughts, notes, and prayers.
