Hear My Voice . . . November Prayer Prompts

November-Prayer-Journaling

Dear Readers and Friends,

I had fully expected to create our November Prayer Prompts this weekend to be ready for November 1, but God had other plans.

On Thursday, October 26, my father suffered a catastrophic stroke. After lying in a coma for three days, my father unexpectedly passed away on Saturday night, October 28. He was in perfect health. He was only 67 years old. The doctor said, "It was one of those unexplainable things."

Our family is in a state of shock as we embrace the fact that my father and my friend will no longer be present with us in the flesh. But I am confident that even though my dad is absent with the body, he is present with the Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:8)

Forgive me for not being able to create our prayer prompts for this month as we are trying to make preparations, balance our grief, and rejoice that my father is in the arms of our Savior.

If you would still like to journal your prayers this month, you can re-visit last years plan, HERE.

What I would suggest to you instead, dear friends, is for you to take each day and write a prayer for someone you love. Write out a prayer for your parents, your mother, your father, a grandparent, a child, a best friend, your pastor, or anyone else that means as much to you as my father meant to me.

Write out your prayer and then tell them about it. Let your loved one know that someone is standing in the gap for them. Let your loved ones know that you are praying for them, and let them know how much you love them.

Tonight, as I grieve the loss of my mentor, business coach, father, spiritual guidance, and friend, I encourage you to tell your parents you love them. Hold their hands. Tell your kids you are proud of them and kiss them goodnight.

Our lives are but a moment. Cherish each moment, and do not waste the time you have with each other on frivolous things.

Thank you for understanding,

Erika Michelle
